Hi, I want to start to make a full up-to-date list of Native alternatives of UAD plugins. Let's keep this list up-to-date!
(need some help here.) Comments are welcome too ofcourse; ) Thank you. I like soundtoys echoboy, replacement for RE-201: no imo precision De-Esser / Sonnox Oxford Suppressor: unfortunately the sonnox is a big cpu hog.
OP, is your list about names or do you think these natives can replace the uad-plugs without compromises? What is your benchmark; the uad-plugin or the hardware? Btw: ERS provide Dim D and EMT250 alternatives, cant speak about the sound as i never tried thoseHi, My list is list about UAD replacement Native plugins with no or little compromises Thank you for input btw! Lexicon® 224 Digital Reverb Plug-In: Lexicon PCM bundle The PCM Bundle retails for $1574.00 with the current discount. Not sure we are comparing eggs with eggs here.Besides the fact that there's nothing in the PCM bundle that sounds remotely like the 224, which is good actually since they compliment each other well and don't overlap. There are some other dubious alternatives in the list too, like the VCC being equivalent to the 88RS.
This could be a useful thing, but I think it's too big of a topic for just one post. How about starting with EQs, then moving on to compressors, etc. Your list is off base on some choices and incomplete in others. Here are some obvious updates.
10 AAX Reverbs Worth Considering For Pro Tools There’s a lot of AAX reverb plug-ins making an appearance for Pro Tools 11, many of them are very good. It’s also one of the few DSP based reverbs for HDX users. Supports AAX Native, AAX DSP, RTAS, VST and AU. UAD Lexicon 224.
Also, when you say 'alternatives' what do you mean? Do you mean models of the same hardware?
Example the Little Labs Phase plugin, Voxengo has a plugin that does that, Waves has a new one out, etc., but they're not models of the hardware. If you just want actual alternatives, I could make this list much longer.
